Egg donation
Egg donation is the process by which a woman donates her eggs for assisted reproduction.
There are women who for various reasons produce poor quality eggs or are unable to produce eggs.
Today, it is now understood by everyone that we are talking about a safe, scientific medical method with excellent results at an international level.
In which cases it is done:
- The woman is a carrier of a serious genetic disease
- No ovaries or underactive or unresponsive to ovarian stimulation.
- The woman is > 42 years old
Donors are screened for a range of diseases and a full medical history is taken. The tests that donors undergo are HIV, Hepatitis B and C, gonorrhea, syphilis, cystic fibrosis, thalassemia, etc.
Egg donation is anonymous and can be done with fresh or frozen eggs.
