What are the chances of IVF success?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Introduction<\/b><\/h3>\n

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is today one of the most important developments in reproductive medicine. Thanks to the continuous advancement of science and technology, millions of people have had a child through assisted reproductive treatments. Although success rates have improved significantly, the outcome of each attempt still depends on many different factors. <\/span><\/p>\n

How does age affect success rates?<\/b><\/h3>\n

The age of the woman is the most important factor affecting the chances of success. In general, the chances of having a child per treatment cycle are estimated to be around 40\u201350% for women under 35, 25\u201335% for women aged 35\u201340, and 10\u201315% after the age of 40. After 43 years, the chances of achieving a birth using one’s own eggs are extremely limited. It is important to clarify that these rates refer to the birth of a child and not simply to achieving a positive pregnancy test. <\/span><\/p>\n

Factors affecting success<\/b><\/h3>\n

In addition to age, the cause of infertility, sperm quality, ovarian reserve, general health and history of previous attempts play an important role. Factors such as endometriosis, fallopian tube diseases or increased sperm DNA fragmentation can affect the final outcome of the treatment. <\/span><\/p>\n

Preparation before in vitro<\/b><\/h3>\n

Maintaining a normal body weight, a balanced diet, adequate vitamin intake and regular exercise can all contribute positively to fertility. At the same time, quitting smoking and limiting excessive alcohol consumption are important steps to optimize your chances of success. <\/span><\/p>\n

The role of technology<\/b><\/h3>\n

Modern technologies such as time-lapse embryo monitoring systems, pre-implantation genetic testing in selected cases, artificial intelligence and newer sperm selection methods enable more personalized and effective treatment approaches.<\/span><\/p>\n

IVF after 50: What is true today?<\/b><\/h3>\n

Advances in reproductive medicine have made it possible for women over 50 to have a child. In most cases this is achieved through egg donation, as the chance of success with identical eggs is practically zero. When young donor eggs are used, success rates can be as high as 70\u201375%, largely independent of recipient age. However, careful medical monitoring and individualized assessment are required due to the increased risk of pregnancy complications. <\/span><\/p>\n
