Prof. Dr. Panagiotis Drakopoulos MD, PhD is an obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in the investigation and treatment of infertility and assisted reproduction.

She graduated with honors from the Medical School of the University of Athens and specialized in Obstetrics-Gynecology at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG) in Switzerland, where she also obtained her official specialty title. He received a Master of Science (MSc) in Reproductive Medicine and a degree in Statistics in Clinical Research from the University of Geneva.

He specialized for many years in Assisted Reproduction at the Center for Reproductive Medicine of the University of Brussels (CRG, UZ Brussel), one of the largest centers in the world. He is recognized as an expert in reproductive medicine by ESHRE (European society of Human Reproduction) and EBCOG (European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynecology). He holds a PhD from the University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) on the impact of ovarian response during IVF and has been a Visiting Professor at the University since 2019. In 2021, he also became a Visiting Professor at Alexandria University (Egypt).

In September 2023 he was elected Assistant Professor and coordinator of the course of “Obstetrics and Gynaecology” at the Medical School of the European University Cyprus (EUC).

Mr. Drakopoulos has authored more than 90 publications in international journals and is an invited speaker at many international IVF conferences on an annual basis. He contributes as a reviewer to the most important journals in the field of infertility (Lancet, Human Reproduction update, Human reproduction, Fertility and Sterility, etc.). In addition, he is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students both in Greece (University of West Attica, etc.) and abroad.

His scientific interest focuses mainly on reproductive endocrinology and strategies to improve the outcome of patients with poor prognosis (poor responders).

It collaborates with two of the largest and most innovative IVF centres in Greece: The Institute of Life (Athens) and Embryolab Fertility Clinic (Thessaloniki). He remains an official clinical and scientific collaborator of the Centre for Reproductive Medicine of the University of Brussels (UZ Brussels). He also works privately and has a practice in Athens.
